O2 / O2S oxygen sensor Compares and senses the amount of oxygen inside the exhaust manifold / pipe and outside the engine.

OBD onboard diagnostics - first generation Computer based early warning system. Implemented by General Motors in 1980 to monitor the ECM and display DTC
OBD II onboard diagnostics - second generation Computer based early warning system. In 1996, OBD-II was made mandatory for all cars sold in the United States due to the EPA clean air act.
OC oxidation catalyst Oxidation Catalytic Converter
OD outside diameter Used to measure a pipe or roll.
OE original equipment See OEM
OEM Original Equipment Manufacturer OEM parts are replacement parts that are made by the manufacturer of the original vehicle.
OESA Original Equipment Suppliers Association Formed in August 1998, OESA is a network and advocate for original equipment automotive suppliers in North America.
OHC overhead cam Camshaft that is above the valves / pistons.
OL open loop A disconnect in the system.
ORBA Off-Road Business Association National non-profit trade association of motorized off-road related businesses formed to promote and preserve off-road recreation.
